Olivia & Tucker

We did not know we needed Lou, but we needed Lou, and so do you. We know that every one of his reviews follows this thread, and are now happy to add to the tapestry of effortless professionalism and FUN that is the DJ Lou Paris Experience.

As so many couples, we set out to plan an event that represented us with as much DIY flair as possible. Not only did Lou respect that vision, he rolled with us as it changed and evolved, right through the party itself. Lou builds a framework around you to give your event the structure it needs, (and all events do need at least *some*,) but builds it with enough flex to respond in real time to the energy your guests and you yourselves bring to the day. He was constantly moving, vibe checking every corner of the room, and adjusting accordingly while projecting the utmost calm and ease throughout the party.

And, lest we forget, the equipment. Everything is absolutely top of the line. We were married in the middle of a field with no electricity- no problem. We were fitted with professional tour mics that let us speak without worrying about people being able to hear, and our processional songs wafted in as if the woods were singing them. Back under the tent, happy conversation worked in tandem with bumping tracks, a feat of sonic engineering that we still don’t quite understand. Lou worked in speeches totally seamlessly. His lighting seemed to emanate from the air itself and accented the florals perfectly.

That’s it. We’re blissfully exhausted after the weekend, but could not wait to leave this testimony in the hopes that other couples/party planners will make the same decision we did.

My Observations

There are some couples that truly stand out, and when I have wonderful couples to being with it makes it even harder to stand out. But Olivia & Tucker became one of those incredible couples to be sure.

First, not only did they DIY this but they worked out a very large field to take on their very special day. And everything from the self-grown sunflowers which became part of a beautiful pairing of walls to enlisting family members to cook an incredible feast, this wedding was bound to be set apart.

Maybe it was the absolutely unique entrance of Olivia and her dad via a farm truck, or maybe it was the Italo-Disco requested cocktail, possibly it was the home grown spirits that were opened after something like an eternity, or it could have just been the incredible energy of all the guests as we bobbed and weaved through all the dance selections, or hell maybe it was the continued overtime that was requested.

My ramblings do not do this couple any justice. And their insistence of replacing one of my not-inexpensive lapel mics when it got lost in the shuffle absolutely just sealed the deal of the kindness and generosity of Olivia, Tucker, and their families.

This one is for the permanent etching into my brain as just one of the very best.
