Vinyl Wedding Experience
Embark on a simpler time where tracks were on wax
Analog grooves vs. 1s and 0s.
Sifting through a crate a music, pulling a record out of a sleeve, dropping the needle to the right spot, making sure the surface is free and clear of dust, manipulate the record with your hands; this is what almost every DJ did until the proliferation of CDs and then digital files in the past couple decades. Sure convenience has overtaken the simplicity of music on a record, but there is a bit of the soul of a song lost trapped in 1’s and 0’s. This is the vinyl wedding experience.
I pride myself on having a large library of vinyl to play on when I desire. And my library covers the gamut of genres and styles, from soulful R&B, hip-hop. Rock & Roll, Pop classics, New Jack Swing, the list goes on and on. And while most music got a vinyl release from the mid-90s and back there is luckily some new music that has been pressed on wax. So don’t think that only older music can be played. But there are some limitations. In some cases, you may want me to mix in those songs in a digital wrapper if it’s absolutely critical.
Now be forewarned, vinyl is an imperfect medium. There can be crackles and pops depending on the condition, and if an overzealous dancer bumps into the decks well all bets are off. But there is a real charm to records, something you just can’t get from playing off of a hard drive.
So are you ready for a vinyl wedding experience? If you’d rather stay in the digital realm check out my standard wedding prices.
*Please note, due to constraints of space, heat, and other factors, I cannot offer a vinyl Ceremony experience. Also I may not be able to fulfill all requests due to music availability.
